Agates are a type of semi precious gemstone characterised by their bright colour and fineness of grain. On this clip earring, a 3cm (1.3inch) teardrop of agate hangs from an allergy safe rhodium clip on fitting, giving a total drop of around 5cm.

This particular agate is called setting sun for it's colour palette, although as a natural material the exact colour and pattern varies from stone to stone.
